Les Matins Blancs sounds like a new start, a promise of singing tomorrows. For every new begining there is an end of a story: the one between Joseph D'Anvers and his previous record label.

After 3 albums, multiple collaborations, a novel, a musical road movie, Joseph felt the urge to go back to basics, and strong enough to produce his next album on his own. For long compared to his prestigious elder (Bashung, Dominique A, Darc,...) Joseph has always tried to take another was, denying the obvious by exiling (in Rio and LA for Les Jours Sauvages (2008)), multiplying unexpected collaborations for a French singer (Mario Caldato Jr., Darrell Thorp, Troy von Balthazar, Day One, Money Mark ...) or changing direction with each album. Les Matins Blancs frontally rubs showlders these time with his illustrious predecessors, abolishes the complex and doubts that Joseph D'Anvers could have , and plays with the codes of a certain French rock chanson, a made in France classy pop.
