Pestkraft - Ancestral Sounds (CD)

Folter Records präsentieren stolz ANCESTRAL SOUNDS, den zweiten Longplayer von PESTKRAFT, die sich anschicken, vom spanischen Valencia aus den tödlichen Pesthauch ihres so unerbittlichen und gewalttätigen wie zugleich erhabenen und mystisch aufgeladenen Black Metals über Europa und die Welt zu verbreiten. Im Mittelpunkt von PESTKRAFTs traditionellen, aber auch kompositorisch Unerwartetes bergenden Klängen, steht der ausdrucksstarke, infernalische Gesang von Bandgründerin und Vokalistin Blodig, die Intention und Tun von PESTKRAFT folgendermaßen umreißt:

Our music is for the darkest audience, those who are attracted to the other side, death, ancestors and roots. We talk about the importance of the cult of the dead, about the customs corrupted by the modern world. We like to think of death as a friendly figure, which picks us up in our last breath, and of the entities that await us on the other side. The rituals, drums and offerings of the afterlife. Of plagues, diseases and how dreary the world is and the dull emptiness of humans.

PESTKRAFT wurden im Jahr 2014 gegründet. Nach einer ersten Ankündigung des kommenden Schwarzen Todes mit der 5-Track-EP Pest im September 2016, folgte 2018 das Debüt Litanies Of The Plague. Nun erscheint mit ANCESTRAL SOUNDS ihr verdammt intensives neues Werk – acht vernichtende Songs mit unüberhörbarem Rekurs auf die norwegische Tradition der frühen 90er.
